This first-year team consists of six 4th grade boys, who have been busy working on their FLL project “Walk 4 GREEN & B Fit“. They brainstormed questions to ask the community in an online survey to find out how kids got to school and to see if parents might like the idea of having their kids walk to school with other kids as part of their research and data gathering. The team was really excited to receive 149 responses to their survey! They were excited to hear the community was interested in learning more about the ”walking school bus”.

The boys have been reading about the benefits of a walking school bus to help reduce congestion around the elementary schools. Their presentation at the FLL will include a walking map, drawings of a solar paneled school bus, and graphs from their survey results.
