Technophile is a new team, made up of  6th and 7th graders, mostly live around Livingston area and go to school in West Orange.

For the “Smart Move” project, the team contacted the West Orange Mayor, John McKeon, and the Transportation Officer.  One of the major local transportation problems is the abundance of commuter traffic that passes through town.  The team has created a public awareness campaign including creative brochure to publicize a little-known resource: a shuttle that takes residents to the bus and train.

The Technophiles came in 7th place for Robot Performance at the Sparta Qualifier on 12/5/09.  The team was especially proud of their score in the area of Teamwork.  It was a great season for the Technophiles and exciting to be a first year team!
